Assignment 3

I commented on Mickey Poling's blog. The extreme long shot impressed me because it made me feel disconnected from Cooper. The shot was successful because it made me want to know more about what the subject was feeling. I also liked his boom shot because I really felt like I also in the hallway along with the subject. The establishing shot was impressive. I could see how it would be used to set the tone for the beginning of a movie. I liked the close up shot because I could see the water fountain in the foreground and the rest of the background was blurred out. It made me feel like the fountain was significant in the clip. 

I commented on Lily Rosenblum's blog. I enjoyed her reaction shot. The timing was perfect. It really looked like Erin was surprised by something that happened off camera. Similarly, her close up shot clearly see Josh's emotions and could relate to him. The point of view shot was nicely done. It looked like I was standing in the room as she was shaking her mom's hand. I felt as though I was in the action. The follow shot was also good because the camera was not shaky at all. It made me curious as to where Erin was going.
